Plant and Equipment Transport Across Brisbane and SEQ
Plant equipment transport for oversize, overmass and heavy plant across Brisbane and South East Queensland — wide, long and tall loads coordinated end to end. Permits, pilot vehicles, escorts and route surveys are arranged in-house, and every movement is quoted and engineered to the load. From industrial modules to overmass transformers, Brisbane Low Loaders plans the full oversize corridor.

Access & route checks
Oversize and overmass routes are surveyed for height, width, mass and turning paths; permits and escort requirements are confirmed for the SEQ corridor before the move is lodged.
Loading preparation
The trailer is configured for the load's footprint and weight distribution, with any necessary widener or multi-axle setup to suit the cargo.
Tie-down verification
Load restraint is engineered to the cargo's weight and shape; chains, tensioners and blocking are verified before the convoy moves.
Delivery handover
Pilot vehicles and escorts coordinate the final approach; the load is off-loaded and positioned, with permits and escorts stood down on completion.
Loading & site access
Footprint & weight distribution
Oversize and overmass loads are configured to the cargo's footprint — multi-axle and widener setups spread concentrated mass and support wide or long overhang.
Route survey for the corridor
Before a permit is lodged we survey the SEQ corridor for bridge height, lane width, turning paths and powerline clearance, and confirm travel windows for the load — Gateway, Ipswich Motorway, M1 and Bruce Highway pinch points.
Pilot & escort planning
Pilot vehicles and escorts are arranged to the load's width, length and mass and the time of travel, in line with Queensland oversize and overmass escort requirements.
Permit lodgement
Oversize and overmass permits are identified and lodged as part of the quote — you do not arrange them separately.
Pre-move safety checklist
Cargo footprint, weight and centre of gravity confirmed
Trailer configuration — multi-axle, widener — matched to load
Route surveyed for height, width, mass and turning paths
Oversize/overmass permit lodged for the surveyed route
Pilot vehicles and escorts arranged to load dimensions and travel time
Load restraint engineered to cargo weight and shape — verified before departure
Travel window and any time-of-day restrictions confirmed
Delivery off-load plan and site positioning confirmed
What to send with your request
To prepare your quote, send the machine type, dimensions (length × width × height) and operating mass, a few site photos, any spec sheets or attachment details, the pickup and delivery locations, and your preferred window. Every quote is engineered to the load and route.
Capability
Permit-managed oversize and overmass movements across Brisbane and SEQ corridors.
Pilot vehicles and escorts arranged to suit the load, route and time of travel.
Route surveys for height, width and mass constraints before a wheel turns.
Wide, long and tall cargo coordinated end to end — one specialist, one quote.
After-hours and time-critical oversize moves coordinated through dispatch.
Compliance with Queensland oversize and overmass escort requirements.
The permit process
Class 1 permit lodgement
Loads exceeding 2.5m wide, 4.3m high or 19m long become Class 1 restricted access vehicles; the NHVR access permit is lodged as part of the quote — you do not arrange it separately.
Escort scaling
Pilot vehicles scale with the load — over 3.5m wide typically needs one pilot, over 4.5m two, and the widest and heaviest moves need a police escort as well. We size the pilot plan to the load, not a default booking.
Travel windows and curfews
Some SEQ corridors restrict oversize travel to certain hours or days; we plan the travel window into the route survey so the convoy moves when the corridor allows it.
Bridge and powerline checks
Bridge height, powerline clearance and axle-load limits are surveyed route by route — not discovered on the day. The Gateway, Ipswich Motorway and M1 pinch points are checked before the permit is lodged.
